Hi all,
This will be my official page for the uNUTy Nuts brand which I am working on right now.
uNUTy Nuts is meant to be a cheaper alternative to a mixed nuts jar/bag. The idea first came to me as I felt so disheartened to find out that mixed nuts cost so much in supermarkets and organic food stores. For a decent size of about 140 grams or so, the cost is usually RM15 to RM20.
I have not really gone to see all the supermarkets and all the food stores to do a comprehensive search. But then again, most people don't do that either unless they are very die hard nut enthusiasts.
I have been part of organizing some 10-day long seminars and events which require some simple snacking with a low budget. So I've managed to round up a few suppliers to keep costs low.
From there, I started to think if I can also serve the regular, everyday-hardworking man/woman or family to have a decent pack of mixed nuts at a very affordable price.
With that, uNUTy Nuts was born.
In the weeks to come, I will also be developing a few more mixes (with affordable prices, of course). Some will include different raw nuts and seeds, while some will include some nuts and seeds which have a labour of our love behind it (by that, I mean roasted or spiced).
But a more exciting idea stands before us now.
Could there be a need to find more affordable food alternatives? Are there current foods which you now buy but wish they could be cheaper? Could a small cottage industry supplier be able to meet those needs?
I would love to hear all your comments on this.
Lastly, I would like to thank all the friends and family who have given their solid support in buying the uNUTY Nuts mix to help us start off swiftly.
